Promoting immersive creativity

During the months of April, May, and June, I had the privilege of leading a series of workshops on creating immersive experiences through 360 video. These workshops, organised by the Massanes Town Council with the support of the La Selva Regional Council, were aimed at young people between the ages of 17 and 22, giving them the opportunity to delve into the fascinating world of immersive audiovisual creation. Promoting immersive creativity.

In the 10 sessions, participants explored everything from the basics of virtual reality to the capture and editing of 360-degree videos. Using the Insta360 ONE camera, the corresponding mobile app, and the Insta360 Studio software. We always checked everything we did with a pair of Pico brand VR glasses. It was fantastic to see how these youngsters, with little or no previous experience in 360 video, fully immersed themselves in immersive storytelling, learning how to plan, film, and edit their own content.

The most rewarding aspect was seeing how much the participants enjoyed learning. To the point where they shared their projects on a YouTube channel they created themselves, @Riuclar360H. These exercises not only reflect their technical learning and their creativity with a dash of madness, but also their growing interest in telling stories in a completely new and immersive way.

As the “ambassador” of SEEDSXR in the La Selva, I am very pleased with the results achieved. These workshops have been an enriching experience. Not only for the young participants but also for me as a trainer. I have learned a great deal over the past three months, and this makes me feel very fortunate.

🔍 Conclusions and Reflections

The success of this initiative makes me eager to continue and expand these workshops in the future, always taking into account participant feedback to improve the methodology. The fields of 360 video and virtual reality are full of possibilities, and it is an honour to be able to assist the new generations in their exploration.

Finally, I want to thank everyone who made this project possible. And I look forward to continuing to contribute to the creative and professional development of young people in La Selva in the audiovisual field.
