America’s Cup Experience has today launched the city’s first large-format 3D screen in collaboration with SEEDS XR

America’s Cup Experience has today activated the city’s first large-format 3D screen, located on the facade of the Imax. The official exhibition of the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup takes a step forward by incorporating one of the largest screens in Europe—nearly 200m²—facing the city and visible from Moll de la Fusta.

The new screen will provide detailed information about the progress of the America’s Cup competition. Citizens will be able to follow the teams’ journeys, watch the spectacular vessels emerge from the screen, and relive the most iconic moments of the competition. This initiative helps bring the grand regatta closer to the people of Barcelona, which is the main goal of America’s Cup Experience, the driving force behind the project.

This is an example of cutting-edge technology in the field of communication. Currently, there are around 15 large outdoor 3D screens worldwide, mainly in major cities like New York, London, Tokyo, and Shanghai. Barcelona now becomes a new point on the map where this technology can be enjoyed.

Stoneweg Places & Experiences, the company behind the project, has closely collaborated with SEEDS XR, a prominent technology partner within Stoneweg’s network of collaborations, specializing in immersive technologies.

This strategic partnership has been key to the launch of this innovative and spectacular outdoor LED screen in Barcelona. With the latest Pixel6 technology and essential collaboration from LG, isometric content has been created that simulates images emerging from the screen, easily visible both at the screen’s base and from various points in the city, such as Paseo Colón, one of the city’s busiest avenues.

This project is just one of many cultural initiatives that Stoneweg Places & Experiences is carrying out in the city, forging new partnerships to enhance Barcelona’s cultural landscape.
